The 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association was created in order to honor the contributions and sacrifices made by the United States Marines and Navy Personnel who served and who are currently serving as 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Marines and Corpsman; the formation of the 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association was put into motion April 23, 2005 in Santee, SC at an annual gathering of former and active duty 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Marines and Corpsman who sought to preserve their history and perpetuate its traditions.

You must be able to prove you served at 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. The easiest way to validate that you were at the battalion is with a copy of your DD214 that states your billet. Once you have completed the electronic Membership Request Form or the Mail-in Form and been approved by the Membership Chairman you will be sent a link asking you to pay your $30.00 ($31.36 by PayPal) annual membership dues.

NOTE: If you mail in the membership request it will be a much longer process, especially if you do not provide supporting official documents that verify you were assigned to any 2D Reconnaissance Battalion.
