Welcome to the 2D Recon Bn Association
The 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association was created in order to honor the contributions and sacrifices made by the United States Marines and Navy Personnel who served and who are currently serving as 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Marines and Corpsman; the formation of the 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association was put into motion April 23, 2005 in Santee, SC at an annual gathering of former and active duty 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Marines and Corpsman who sought to preserve their history and perpetuate its traditions.

The 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association is a non-profit association that exists to serve the members of the Association: serving or who formerly served regular, retired, and former Marines and Navy personnel - while fostering, maintaining and promoting the tradition and well-being of the 2d Reconnaissance Battalion.

Interested in becoming a member of the 2D Reconnaissance Battalion Association? Its not our intent to insult anyone's integrity in this verification process, the purpose of this process is to safeguard the privacy of our members.

You must be able to prove you served at 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. The easiest way to validate that you were at the battalion is with a copy of your DD214 that states your billet. Once you have completed the electronic  Membership Request Form or the Mail-In Form and been approved by the Membership Chairman you will be sent a link asking you to pay your annual membership dues. NOTE: If you mail in the membership request it will be a much longer process, especially if you do not provide supporting official documents that verify you were assigned to any 2D Reconnaissance Battalion element.
